After a brief period of time when things started feeling normal, the pandemic has struck again with its third wave. The sudden surge in infected cases have compelled filmmakers to alter their shooting schedules. The filming of Vijay Deverakonda's higlhy anticipated pan Indian flick 'Liger' has also been halted due to the same reason.

The actor shared this update via his recent Instagram post in which he can be seen chilling at home with his dog. His caption suggested that the planned filming schedule of 'Liger' has been cancelled in the wake of recent spike in Covid-19 cases. The caption read, "Apparently its another wave Storm. Shoots canceled. Back to us just chilling at home.."

'Liger' is a highly ambitious film which will see Vijay in the role of a mixed martial artist. It also stars actress Ananya Pandey and former boxing champion Mike Tyson in primary roles. The supporting cast of the film includes Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, Ali, Vishu Reddy, Makarand Deshpande.
