Fans of the popular Telugu reality show Bigg Boss might witness a major surprise in the upcoming season. Reports suggest that host Nagarjuna will be stepping down before season 9 begins. Nagarjuna has successfully hosted the last seven seasons, while the first two seasons were hosted by NTR and Nani.
The latest buzz indicates a possible change in the show’s host. Young star Vijay Deverakonda is reportedly in discussions with the show’s organizers to take over from Nagarjuna. The discussions are in an advanced stage, and a final decision is expected soon.
Bigg Boss Telugu season 9 is anticipated to start in May 2025, earlier than its usual schedule. If Vijay Deverakonda takes up the hosting role, it will mark his debut as a TV host. With a massive following among the youth in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, his presence could attract a younger audience to the show.
Hosting Bigg Boss Telugu might also help Vijay connect with the family audience, potentially benefiting his film career. He is currently preparing for the release of his film Kingdom on May 30th, while also working on Rowdy Janardhan and a period action drama with Rahul Sankrityan. Meanwhile, Nagarjuna’s film Kubera is set for release on June 20th, followed by Coolie in August.
