'Liger' is the title of Vijay Deverakonda's boxing-based, pan-India movie with director Puri Jagannadh. The film's first look poster was today released. The 'Arjun Reddy' actor is seen as a boxer against the backdrop of a ferocious tiger, true to the nature of the title and the genre of the film.
"Humbly announcing our arrival Pan India! Nation-wide madness guaranteed," a proud VD wrote on Twitter. He then added that someone with his kind of background shouldn’t have reached anywhere near where he is now, if the conventions and set norms are anything to go by. "But with sheer madness, passion, hardwork, Here we are! For everyone like me, it is ok for all of us to dream big, Believe and make it happen," the 'Geetha Govindam' actor added.
The film stars Ananya Pandey as the heroine. Ramya Krishnan has a pivotal role alongside Ronit Bose Roy, Vishu Reddy and the talented artist Makrand Deshpande.
Produced by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta and Hiroo Yash Johar, 'Liger' will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
The film's shoot was stalled early last year due to the pandemic. It was supposed to hit the screens last Summer. With the pandemic, it might release later this year.
