Puri Jagannadh's 'Fighter', which will hit the screens in 2021, stars Vijay Deverakonda as a fighter who can beat anyone to the pulp. The Telugu-Hindi bilingual, which will also be released in Tamil and other languages, is rumoured to resume its shoot later this year.

During his Europe vacation, the 'Arjun Reddy' actor has opened up about the movie. Speaking to a national daily, he said that 'Fighter' is not the usual commercial entertainer. He suggested that while being commercial, the film "will still be well within my zone." By this, he means to say that it will also be distinct and somewhat 'hatke'.

Starring Ananya Pandey as the heroine, it was shot in Mumbai and other locations pre-lockdown. Ramya Krishna is part of the cast.

Meanwhile, VD has sparked a row by saying that he is against the current political system that allows everyone to vote. He also maintained that he is pro-dictatorship, albeit of a benevolent one.
