Vijay Deverakonda is a renowned Telugu actor who attained Pan-Indian fame in such a short time. He joined hands with director Puri Jagannadh for his upcoming sports action film 'Liger', which is currently one of the most-awaited south Indian movies.

The makers unleashed the official trailer of Liger today at the launch event that happened in Hyderabad. The 2-minute-long video shows VJD playing a speech-impaired MMA fighter boxer originating from the slums. It is safe to say that the story focuses on how a gully boy evolves from rags to riches. The 'Arjun Reddy' actor looks dapper as an international fighter.

Liger also stars Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishna in pivotal roles. American boxer Mike Tyson makes a powerful appearance at the end of the trailer. The boxing superstar is all set to make his acting debut with this film and he will be seen essaying an extended cameo role. The multi-lingual movie is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh, Karan Johar and Charmme Kaur.

Vishnu Sarma has handled the cinematography and Junaid Siddiqui serves as the editor of the film which has songs composed by Vikram Montrose, Tanishk Bagchi, Lijo George-DJ Chetas and Sunil Kashyap with a background score by Sunil Kashyap. Liger is scheduled for theatrical release on 25 August 2022.
