'Hero', the multi-lingual musical sports drama, has caused heavy financial losses to Mythri Movie Makers. The film's first schedule was shot last year, later which the project was stalled tentatively.
Vijay Deverakonda participated in the schedule with gusto. For whatever reason, the schedule didn't pan out as expected. The output didn't win the hearts of the producers, who became cautious about the big-budget project after the schedule.
Different reports say that they spent Rs 5-10 Cr on 'Hero', only to put it on the backburner just after the first schedule.
The failure of 'Dear Comrade', which too was a multi-lingual movie, made the producers skeptical last year. And with 'World Famous Lover', too, biting the dust, they have reportedly decided to shelve the project.
A report published by TNIE says that the project has been acquired by T-Series, the Bollywood production house, which allegedly wants to make it in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil in a big way. In that case, 'Hero' is likely to be Vijay's second Hindi movie, the first one being Puri Jagannadh's 'Liger'.
