Vijay Deverakonda, who has been busily shooting for his upcoming movie, has done an awareness ad sponsored by the Telangana government to disseminate anti-Coronavirus information.
The ad has the 'World Famous Lover' actor in his new look and telling the public to wear masks and wash hands with soap as much as possible. He is also heard saying that hand-shaking should be avoided, besides maintaining a safe distance from others. "Avoid crowded areas. For any medical assistance, call on 104," VD says.
While the ad is well-meaning, the actor should have avoided using English words such as 'distance' and 'crowded' in a message that is essentially targeted at Telugu-speaking people. The text in the ad is in Telugu and it doesn't make any sense to use not-so-commonly used English-language words in a public service announcement.
