Vijay Deverakonda has revealed in an interview that he is no longer using the shower to take bath. He feels that it's imperative to save water.
"All of us are concerned only about what is needed here and now. Like I am busy promoting 'Dear Comrade' because it's up for release. But, we are also staring at a total water crisis 2-3 years from now. Cities like Hyderabad will run out of water. If there is no water to bath, how am I going to attend shoots? I will realize the gravity of the problem only when I wake up and find that my tap has no drop of water in it!" Deverakonda says.
He adds, "I want to save water and be responsible. Shower baths need copious amounts of water. On the other hand, normal baths need just 20-30 litres. We in our family are doing our bit. We can't expect every problem to be solved by the government. In our building complex, nobody uses non-drinking water to water plants. We all use only drinking water for the purpose."
'Dear Comrade' is his upcoming release. It arrives on Friday (July 26).
