In 2017, just ahead of the release of 'Jai Lava Kusa', there was this news that the stammering character of NTR in the movie was originally conceived by Puri Jagannadh. In Puri's story, the protagonist is a martial arts exponent. The director of 'Jai Lava Kusa', Bobby, suggested that his story is entirely different. The Nandamuri actor, too, indicated the same. As it turned out, NTR was hardly a martial arts practitioner in the movie.

Cut to 2019, Puri Jagannadh has rumouredly narrated his script to Vijay Deverakonda. The 'Dear Comrade' actor will be seen as a martial arts exponent with a stammering problem in this untitled flick. An official word is awaited. But if indeed this is the character, Deverakonda surely faces a challenge in bringing out a new talent in him. He will also be compared to NTR.

The Puri-Deverakonda film will be produced by Puri and Charmme Kaur.
