Nag Ashwin is making a biopic on the greatest actress ever in South Indian cinema, Savithri titled Nadigaiyar Thilagam` in Tamil and Mahanati` in Telugu. Keerthy Suresh is portraying the role of Savithri while Dulquer Salman will play Gemini Ganesan.

Samantha plays a very important character of a journalist in Nadigaiyar Thilagam` and the entire story unfolds through her eyes. Vijay Devarakonda has been roped in to play Sam`s love interest. The young Vijay won hearts with his role in the sleeper hit Telugu film Pellichoopulu`.
