Amidst speculation about the wedding date, Director Vijay has at last confirmed that he is indeed in love with Amala Paul, the heroine of his last released flick ‘Thalaiva’.

The ‘Madarasapattinam’ director who was in a foreign country for the works related to his upcoming film ‘Saivam’ has sent an urgent press release in the wake of rumors spreading about his wedding plans. It is to be noted that it is the first time the director has publicly admitted his love for Amala Paul, though they were rumored to be seeing each other when they started working together in ‘Deivathirumagal’ that released in 2011.

Vijay has said, “I herewith take this opportunity to declare the conversion of my status from being single to couple. Yes, the search for my life partner ends here as I have found my soul mate in Amala! She’s the girl with most beautiful heart I know, she is truly a treasure and I will preserve with utmost love and care.”

The director has also clarified that the couple did not intend to conceal their wedding plans but were looking for the right time to announce it with protocol and dignity. The director has said that since Amala Paul has got a few commitments to complete and he is busy with his ‘close to heart’ project ‘Saivam’ that will release shortly, they need some more time to decide and announce their wedding plans.
