RV Udhayakumar was one of the popular directors of the 90s, who had worked with top heroes like Superstar Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth, Karthik and many others, and had last directed the movie Karka Kasadara starring Vikranth in lead role. In a recent event, the director has taken a dig at Vijay's Bigil.

Recently, the audio launch of the movie Utraan was held, and RV Udhayakumar said during the event that he appreciates the team for naming the movie in Tamil while people who say of Tamils and protecting Tamil are keeping title in other languages. He said that people should not be having Tamil titles just for the sake of tax exemption.

He also said that heroes who never spoke once, are speaking a lot, and that he was wondering why a particular actor spoke a lot. He also added that that actor's movie title was not a Tamil word itself. He said that one must be natural in the stage and must not be speaking punches. All the statements made by RV Udhaykumar are said to be taking a dig at Vijay's speech in Bigil audio launch.
