Music director turned actor Vijay Antony was last seen playing a cop in the action flick Thimiru Pudichavan, and is currently starring in a number of movies with talented makers. Weeks back, his next movie, Thamizharasan directed by Babu Yogeswaran was launched, with music by Ilayaraja.

Speculations are that the actor is all set to star in an action thriller which will be directed by Ananda Krishnan, who had previously directed Aal(remake of Hindi hit Aamir) with Vikranth, and the chain snatching based crime thriller Metro starring Sirish and Bobby Simha.

The director had been making an action movie titled Oxygen with Ashok Selvan, and even before its wrap, Ananda Krishnan has bagged this project with Vijay Antony. An official confirmation is awaited. Vijay Antony also has Kolaigaran directed by Andrew Louis and Agni Siragugal by Naveen in pipeline.
