Vijay Antony to headline and direct ‘Bichagadu 2’

After years of wait, ‘Bichagadu 2’ was announced formally on Saturday. The film will be headlined by Vijay Antony, who struck gold in a massive way with ‘Bichagadu’ in 2016, himself. Vijay Antony Film Corporation, the actor’s home banner, is bankrolling the project. And Fatima Vijay Antony will be presenting it. 

To be made as ‘Pichaikkaran 2’ in Tamil, the film’s Title Look was unveiled today. “The project is very close to my heart,” the actor-director-producer today tweeted.

Sharing the title look, star director AR Murugadoss welcomed Vijay Antony to the clan of directors. “Hope I do justice to the important role of director,” the actor tweeted in reply.

Vijay Antony, known for movies such as ‘Salim’ and ‘Kolaigaran’, has been a music composer, playback singer, film editor, lyricist, and audio engineer as well over the years. ‘Khaki’, ‘Agni Siragugal’ and ‘Thamezharasan’ are among his upcoming movies. 

As for ‘Bichagadu’, it was about a billionaire businessman who leads a 48-day long secret life as a beggar as part of a religious offering to save his hopeless dying mother. It was a massive hit in both Tamil and Telugu.
