The director of Saleem, Nirmal Kumar, denied all rumours of him having a rift with Vijay Antony and further went on to add a few more things we'd be into.

" Vijay Antony and I have no issues like you wrote, no problem at all, our friendship is going smooth. 'Naan' was dubbed and released in Telugu and was running successfully. So, we decided to dub and release Saleem in Telugu too. Meanwhile, Telugu hero Venkatesh heard of the film and came to me, wanting to remake Saleem with him in it. For a new director like me, this is a huge opportunity and I told Vijay sir about this. He said that he'll drop the idea of dubbing and releasing as I will be directing the film. Not just that, he also wished me all the success with the project," signed off Nirmal.
