The teaser of Vijay Antony's 'Ratham' is here and director C.S. Amudhan surprises with a powerful and intense turn from what we have seen in his spoof comedy series 'Thamizh Padam'. The novelty begins with roping in contemporary filmmakers Venkat Prabhu, Vetrimaaran and Pa. Ranjith to take the viewers through the three stages of a common man hitting back at the system.

The 'Ratham' teaser starts with Venkat Prabhu commenting that the majority of the citizens wish nothing but a simple and peaceful life and the visual shows Vijay Antony living one with his wife played by Mahima Nambiar, child and parents. Then Vetrimaaran muses that the peace that everyone strives for is not available at all times as right from the food one consumes, the god one worships to the very identity of a person can be used as a tool to turn his or her life upside down. The turmoil begins in the hero's life.

Lastly Pa. Ranjith reaffirms that nothing will come without fighting for it and these struggles have the power of changing the world. The Vijay Antony character is then shown letting loose and hit back at the society even though he can do so with only one hand.

Few directors have taken fans by absolute surprise as C.S. Amudhan has done with his 'Ratham' teaser which promises an engaging thriller dealing with a strong social issue. The teaser is a winner in creating the right expectations for the film.

'Ratham' has music by Kannan Narayaan and is produced by Infiniti Film Ventures. The film stars Vijay Antony, Mahima Nambiar, Nandita Swetha, Ramya Nambeesan and Nizhalgal Ravi. The release date is expected to be announced soon.
