The promotional 'Glamour' song of Vijay Antony's next film 'Pichaikkaran' had created a controversy for its lyrics allegedly insulting the caste based reservation and also defaming the entire doctor community. This was widely discussed in social media platforms and even some reputed media houses carried news about the opposition to the controversial song.

Now Vijay Antony who has produced the film apart from acting in the lead role and composing music for the film has changed the lyrics heeding to the controversy. In a statement he has clarified that he or his team members never intended to insult the reservation system or the entire doctor community and they are only against those who become doctors just with their money power without possessing the requisite education, skills and knowledge.

Vijay Antony has also changed the objectionable line that refers to Quota system. 'Quotavula seat vaangi doctor aagaran' has now been changed has 'Kaasu koduthu seat vaangi doctor aagaran'.

The 'Salim' actor has also pointed out that the song's lyricist Lohan and singer Velmurugan hail from backward communities.
