The Vijay Antony starrer 'Picchaikaran 2' which also marked his directorial debut was released last Friday and has overcome mixed reviews to emerge a box office winner. Vijay Antony Film Corporation has officially stated that the film took the hero's career best opening of Rs. 3.5Crores on the first day. The Telugu version 'Bichagadu 2' crossed the Rs. 4.5 Cr. mark at the AP and Telangana region. The worldwide gross on day one was Rs.15 Crores.

A happy Vijay Antony speaking to the press has stated that 'Pichaikkaran 3' will definately be made in 2025 and he may also direct it. He thanked the general audience for supporting his vision in both 'Pichaikkaran' and 'Pichaikkaran 2' making them such big successes.

Vijay Antony apart from playing the hero wrote the story and screenplay, scored the music, edited and produced 'Pichaikkaran 2'. Kavya Thapar played the female lead while Radha Ravi, Y. Gee Mahendran, Dev Gill, John Vijay and Yogi Babu played supporting characters.
