Two films by Vijay Antony are set to debut on OTT platforms on the same date. Apart from those, we are set to witness several other astonishing digital debuts including Chris Hemsworth’s highly anticipated ‘Extraction 2’. Let’s take a look at the list of new titles slated to stream this week:
1) Pichaikkaran 2 (Tamil) – This film is the sequel to Vijay Antony’s 2016 blockbuster but this time, the musician-turned-actor debuts as a director with music composed by him. It streams on Disney Plus Hotstar on June 18 after a theatrical success in Tamil and other languages.
2) Tamilarasan (Tamil) – Another Vijay Antony film on the OTT this week. It is a long-delayed cop entertainer in the actor’s career with music composed by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja. The film debuts on ZEE5 on June 16.
3) Raavana Kottam (Tamil) – Shanthnu’s rural thriller that revolves around friendship and casteism. The film also stars Kayal Anandhi and Prabhu in pivotal roles with music by Justin Prabhakaran. It comes to Amazon Prime Video on June 16.
4) Extraction 2 (English) – Chris Hemsworth delivered the action thriller ‘Extraction’ in 2020, which became one of the most-watched films on Netflix. Now, the sequel is set to debut on the streaming giant on June 16.
5) Jee Karda Season 1 (Hindi) – Tamannaah starrer romantic drama series directed by Arunima Sharma. The first season comprising 8 episodes will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video on June 15.
6) Shaitan Season 1 (Telugu) – A new crime web series on Disney Plus Hotstar debuting on June 15.
7) Siya (Hindi) – This crime drama focuses on a small-town girl and a rape survivor fighting against all odds for justice. The film streams on ZEE5 on June 16.
8) I Love You (Hindi) – New romantic thriller starring Rakul Preet Singh and others. The film will debut on Jio Cinema on June 16 and it is free to watch.
9) Kandahar (English) – An acclaimed action thriller film centred around the real-life experiences of a military intelligence officer, who was sent to Afghanistan following the Snowden revelations. The movie comes to Amazon Prime on June 16.
10) Two Souls (Telugu) – A fantasy romance film that revolves around the journey of two souls. It is set to stream on Amazon Prime on June 15.
11) Charles Enterprises (Malayalam) – This comedy drama stars veteran actress Urvashi, Kalaiyarasan, Guru Somasundaram, Balu Varghese and others. It comes to Amazon Prime on June 16.
12) The Village (Japanese) – This thriller film is about a man leading a secluded life in a creepy village. He wants to get out of the place, but it isn’t as easy as it may seem. It debuts on Netflix on June 16.
13) Vamanan (Malayalam) – A psycho-horror thriller about the survival of a man who works as a homestay manager at a hill station, and his family. It streams on Manorama Max on June 16.
14) Thaaram Theertha Koodaram (Malayalam) – Another family romantic drama in Mollywood coming to Prime Video on June 16 after its theatrical release.
15) Kanulu Terichina Kanulu Musina (Telugu) – This is a romantic thriller set to debut on ETV Win on June 16.
16) Rafuchakkar (Hindi) – A courtroom series which is a twisted tale of a con artist who must prove his innocence in court. The 9-episode show streams on Jio Cinema for free on June 15.
