We all know that Vijay Antony is set to make his directorial debut with his upcoming film, 'Pichaikkaran 2'. The multi-talented entertainer has scored music for the film, done the editing and produced the movie under his banner Vijay Antony Corporation as well. Now, the film has got a new release date.

Pichaikkaran 2 was initially scheduled to hit the screens on April 14, the Tamil New Year but got delayed due to unavoidable reasons. Now, Vijay Antony has officially announced the movie's new release date with a new poster on social media. Pichaikkaran is coming to the cinemas on May 19 and the actor also added that the trailer will be launched tomorrow at 11 AM.

It is worth mentioning that Vijay Antony got severely injured a couple of months ago while shooting for Pichaikkaran 2. The movie is a sequel to his 2016 blockbuster directed by Sasi. The makers already launched a song and the first four minutes of the film as promotions and they gained a huge response among the fans.

Pichaikkaran 2 will also release in Telugu on the same date (May 19) under the title 'Bichagadu2'. Sharing the poster, Vijay Antony wrote, "Trailer tomorrow at 11 AM Releasing Worldwide on May 19 #BLOCKBUSTER #Pichaikkaran2 #bichagadu2" (sic). The film also stars Kavya Thappar, Yogi Babu, Radha Ravi, Mansoor Ali Khan, John Vijay, Dev Gill and others.
