Indiaglitz had reported earlier that the trailer of Vijay's Jilla will release on Diwali day. This had been confirmed by Jithan Ramesh the actor who played the half-brother of Simbu in Dharani directed Osthe. This elder son of renowned Producer R.B.Chowdary, who is producing Jilla has reveled the much awaited news about the film, in his social networking site. The film which has Kajal agarwal playing the lead lady and Mohanlal donning an important role will release for Pongal as confirmed by Jithan Ramesh. The technical crew of the film is currently located at Japan to shoot a romantic number and they will start canning a grand celebration song as soon as they return to Chennai.

Meanwhile it is confired that the trailer of another much expected film Biriyani will also release for this Diwali. Venkatprabhu who is directing Karthi and Hansika in this film has officially announced the news on the trailer release.He has also told that works are in full swing to release the film for Pongal 2014. It is to be noted that this film sees the comeback of yesteryear hero Ramki who is said to be playing a role with shades of grey in this film.
