Ajith Kumar and Thalapathy Vijay are without any doubt the biggest superstars of the current generation in Tamil cinema. They both command one of the biggest fan followings in the world and their loyalists are at loggerheads with each other almost every single day on social media.

Though Vijay and Ajith who started their respective careers around the same time are professional rivals they are said to harbour a close friendship with each other. It is said that from time to time they visit each others homes with their families when there are special occassions.

It has been reported that during the second coronavirus lockdown in 2021, Vijay and Ajith met each other secretly and spent hours together in discussion. While one source says its about a new movie they might work together in others say its a casual meeting while yet others claim that the meeting never happened.

Anyways whether Ajith and Vijay did meet or not will only be known if they themselves open up about it. Meanwhile they both are continuing to delight their audiences on screen.

Vijay's next film 'Beast' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures is releasing on April 13th and he will begin shooting for 'Thalapathy 66' directed by Vamshi Paidipally from April 2nd.

Ajith on the other hand after delivering the super hit 'Valimai' is gearing up to shoot 'AK61' directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor in a few weeks time. He will then move on to 'AK62' directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by Lyca from the third quarter of the year.
