Choreographer turned actor Cool Jayanth who worked with many leading stars in the Tamil and Malayalam film industry passed away at his residence today in Chennai. Many cine celebrities are sending condolences messages.

He began his career as an assistant to Prabhu Deva and Raju Sundaram and later branched out with Kadhal Desam, which was lauded for AR Rahman’s music. He became famous after his choreographing the songs ‘Mustafa’ and ‘Kalluri Saalai’. The songs were superhit beast number during that time.

Having completed 800 films in multiple languages he made his acting debut in the film Kozhi Raja. The film is about five petty thieves who go about cheating the people for their gains, with the plot also traversing why they turned out to be criminals initially.

According to reports, Jayanth was ill for a long time now and was found dead at his residence today morning around 10 am. His last rights will take place today evening in Chennai.
