Ajay Gnanamuthu is on cloud nine after his horror thriller Demonte Colony` has become a runaway super hit garnering appreciation from all types of audiences. In an IG exclusive the director whom A.R. Murugadass dubbed as the favourite of Vijay shared his experiences with Illayathalapathy.

Ajay said that he is a diehard fan of Vijay from his school days and when he worked as AD in Thupakki` he got a chance to become close to the superstar and he cherishes every day he spent with him on sets. A year back Ajay had gone to meet Vijay and had told him that he was going from producer to producer for a chance to direct and Illayathalapathy gave him the advice "Late aagaratha paththy feel pannathinga lateaa varathu vishayam kediayathu varumbothu strongaa varanum" . That is exactly what Ajay has done with the help of Arulnithi and the rest of the cast and crew of Demonte Colony`.
