Thalapathy Vijay's next movie after the blockbuster 'Mersal' is directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures. Girish Gangadharan after the super hit 'Angamalay Diaries and critically acclaimed 'Solo' is handling the camera and Sreekhar Prasad the editing.  It is rumored that Rakul Preet Singh will be the heroine while Yogi Babu and 'Bigg Boss' Julie are also on board.

The latest buzz doing the rounds is that 'Thalapathi 62' has been titled 'Kalappai' to denote the most prominent tool and symbol of the farmers.  When we got in touch with sources close to the team we got the info that the title will be announced officially only when the first look arrives which is again expected on New Year January 1st.   The first look is much anticipated by Vijay fans not only in Tamil Nadu but in Kerala as well.
