Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, directed by Vignesh Shivan, arrived in theatres on April 29. The film has opened to a mixed response, with a section of critics dubbing it as a “problematic rom-com."

On April 30, Vignesh Shivan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Nayanthara reportedly visited the Devi theatre in Chennai for the movie screening and met the fans. The pictures from the theatre are now going viral on social media.

For the screening, Nayanthara wore a denim jacket with denim pants and a white t-shirt and chose Kathija's style to ace her fashion game. Vijay Sethupathi also waved at the audience from the gallery. The pictures of the same are going viral on social media platforms.

The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. This is Vignesh’s fourth outing as a director. He has recently directed a segment in Netflix India’s upcoming Tamil anthology, Paava Kadhaigal. The movie revolves around Rambo who falls in love with two women and builds his relationship with them stating that he loves both. Though the film is enlisted to be a fun and breezy entertainer, that also gives importance to emotions.
