Vignesh Sivan has been in the news for several reasons in the past year that includes his wedding to Nayanthara and the birth of his twin sons Ulagam and Uyir. There was also a disappointment as he was gearing up to direct Ajith's 'AK 62' but parted ways with the project due to creative differences. Lyca Productions has since replaced him with Magizh Thirumeni and the preproduction is underway in full swing.

it is reported that Vignesh Shivan has also detached himself from another film 'Oorkuruvi' that he announced under his banner Rowdy Pictures. It was supposed to star his close friend Kavin in the lead and directed by Arun Patrician and the announcement video went viral on the internet. It is reported that Hamsini Entertainment will now produce 'Oorkuruvi' with CWC fame Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan in place of Kavin as the hero. The director Arun is planning to shoot the film from June this year.

Meanwhile Vignesh Shivan will also start shooting his sixth film to be produced by Kamal Haasan's RKFI which will have Pradeep Ranganthan in the lead. The official announcement is expected on a festive date in April.
