Balaji Productions most anticipated film ÂThe Dirty Picture hits the screens today While all these days we have been entertained by Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah with their ÂOoh La La jalwa let we uncover an interesting tidbit behind sizzling number...
A fact noticed by few, The Dirty PictureÂs ÂOoh La La track seems to have been inspired from ÂUi Amma Ui Amma song, from the 1983 film ÂMawaali that featured siblings - producer Ekta Kapoor and actor Tusshar KapoorÂs father Jeetendra along with Jaya Prada.
In ÂUi AmmaÂ, a curvy Jaya Prada dressed in bright yellow shows her tumkas and jhatkas while the Jumping Jack Jeetendra grooves along in his typical style. Yeah, the tunes do sound similar to ÂOoh La LaÂ, as Bappi Lahiri had been the composer for ÂMawaaliÂ, who has sung the new version. The composer duo Vishal-Shekar of ÂThe Dirty Picture has done a fabulous job of refining the song to suit the contemporary audience.
Indeed the makers of 'The Dirty Picture' have shown tribute to the classic age of 80Âs with this number  through the music, lyrics, dressings, dance style, choice of locations and most importantly, the colourful props and backgroundsÂ
