National award winning Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is likely to play the female lead in Superstar Rajinikanth's next after' '2.0' which will be directed by Pa.Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films banner.

While Rajini is currently busy with the last leg of shooting for Shankar's mega budter '2.0' and Ranjith with the pre-production work for his second film with the ultimate Superstar after the blockbuster 'Kabali', Vidya has for the first time opened up about being a part of this extremely exciting project.

In a recent press conference when the 'Kahani' actress was asked about her acting in Rajini-Ranjith film, she just said "We will know in a while."

This means the talks are still going on and the official announcement will be made once the negotiations are finalised after Vidya signs the agreement.
