The nationwide lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic has been creating a massive impact on the film industry, and producers who are incurring losses unable to pay interests and missing out on collections due to release delays have inclined towards OTT platforms.

Yesterday it was announced that the Ayushmann Khurrana, Amitabh Bachchan starrer Gulabo Sitabo directed by Shoojit Sircar will stream on Amazon prime video from June 12, and that the movie skips a theatrical release.

Today it has been officially announced that director Anu Menon's Shakuntala Devi human computer starring Vidya Balan will premiere on Amazon prime, and the release date will be announced soon. Also starring Sanya Malhotra, the movie is the biopic of mathematical wizard Shakuntala Devi.
