Vidya Balan is stepping into item zone for the first time in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’. A fact said earlier, the Bombat actress will be seen doing a Lavani (traditional Maharashtrian dance) number in the film.

The special song titled “Mala Jau De” has Vidya dressed in typical Maharashtrian attire – with Nauvari saree, ghungroo, nathani…

Vidya considers this song to be one of her best and memorable experiences and she said to have wonderful time shooting it.

The director Rajesh Mapuskar was keen to give an authentic look to the song and so insisted to have it choreographed by professional lavani dancers. Even Vidya had undergone special training in Kolhapur, learning the nuances of the dance.
