Vidya Balan, the traditionally elegant Lolita of Pradeep Sarkar’s ‘Parineeta’ is switching lanes with Raju Hirani’s ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’. In ‘LRM’ she plays a cool radio jockey and her sparkling chemistry with Sanjay Dutt led to the speculation that she was having a scene with Munnabhai. In fact Vidya is high on the gossip mongers list. First she was linked with her mentor Pradeep Sarkar, then Sanju and now even with her ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ co-star John Abraham.

There’s a perception doing the rounds that Vidya is Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s in-house heroine considering she did ‘Parineeta’, now ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ and then Vinod Chopra’s directorial venture ‘Eklavya’. But the pretty damsel dismisses this perception by stating that VCP is like her alma mater and if people think that ways then she is glad about it. It seems this South India beauty who played a very convincing Bengali in her debut flick is going to go places.
