Though Vidya Balan is a predominant actress in Bollywood, she is well known throughout the country. Being born to Tamil parents, she has never acted in a straight Tamil film. Considering South Indian movies, we have seen her appearance in Santhosh Sivan’s ‘Urumi’.

However, seems like Vidya Balan is coming down south for an amazing project once again. Reportedly the actress has bagged a pivotal role in the NTR biopic. Word is that she will be essaying the role of wife of former Andhra Chief Minister’s wife Basavatarakam.

Yet another interestinginfo is that Keerthy Suresh will be essaying Savitri in the film as a special appearance. The ensemble cast of the film also includes Sumanth, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Raana Daggubati as well.

MM Keeravani will be scoring the music for this film. Though the film is releasing in Hindi and Telugu versions, it is expected that it would bedubbed in Tamil as well.
