Vidhu Vinod Chopra approaches Mamata Banerjee to watch 'Broken Horses'

Iconic filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who has written, produced and directed 'Broken Horses' - a feat that no other Indian has to date, has approached the Chief Minister of West Bengal to see his film. Vidhu was in Kolkata to promote his movie and he immediately sent a request to Mamata (Didi as she is dearly called). An official spokesperson from Vinod Chopra Films confirmed the development. The movie has been garnering incredible buzz with the who's who of our country - including Prime Minister Narendra Modi - wishing the film well.
Set in the shadows of US-Mexico border gang wars, 'Broken Horses' is an epic thriller about bonds of brotherhood, laws of loyalty and futility of violence. The film, which opens today, has been written by Mr Chopra and Abhijat Joshi and is based on an original story by Vidhu.
'Broken Horses' principal cast features Vincent D'Onofrio (THE JUDGE, FULL METAL JACKET), Anton Yelchin (LIKE CRAZY, STAR TREK), Chris Marquette (ALPHA DOG, THE GIRL NEXT DOOR) and Maria Valverde (EXODUS). Chopra's technical crew on the film included Director of Photography Tom Stern (HUNGER GAMES, THE CHANGELING), Production Designer Toby Corbett (BAD LIEUTENANT) and Composer John Debney (IRON MAN 2). Broken Horses releases on April 10 and is marketed and distributed by Fox Star Studios in India.
