A video that has been going viral on social media shows US President Donald Trump experiencing breathing difficulties while addressing the media at the White House.
Upon his return to the White House from the Walter Reed Medical Center on Monday, four days after he was diagnosed with COVID-19, Trump faced the media. In the viral video, he is seen visibly gasping for air and trying to suppress a cough after he removes his face mask. "I learned so much about coronavirus. I didn't feel so good, and two days ago .. I felt great, like better than I have in a long time. I know there's a risk, there's a danger but that's ok.. now I'm better, and maybe I'm immune, I don't know," Trump mentioned in a video he posted on Twitter soon after. The video has raised concerns among citizens regarding Trump's health but he continues to receive treatment for the viral infection from the White House. Trump informed on Thursday, "Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER."
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who also tested positive for COVID-19 subsequently, later said the president "remains in good spirits, has mild symptoms, and has been working throughout the day." She added, "Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days. President Trump appreciates the outpouring of support for both he and the First Lady."
