Actress Shalu Shamu who has done small roles in 'Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam', 'Rekka' and 'Mr. Local' has stirred up controversy by posting on her social media that she has faced casting couch issues in Tamil cinema and that a top director asked her to sleep with him for a chance to act in a Vijay Deverakonda movie.

Shalu Shamu declined to name the said director but asserted that he is a big name in the industry who had got in touch with her on the release date of her first movie 'Tamizhukku Enn Ondrai Azhuthavum'. The director had asked her to come in a saree to a given address and only after she reached she had realized that it was not an office but the family home of the director. He had then gone on to speak about unwanted things rather than about the story or her character and when she started sweating in fear had asked her to go to his bedroom stating that the air conditioner was on.

Shalu Shamu shares that she had then immediately left the house and is glad that she had handled the situation then and there by herself. Shalu Shamu has revealed many other aspects of her life including the controversial sensual dance video and how she is afraid that it might affect her marriage in the future.
