A man in Madhya Pradesh was forced to take his mother’s dead body on a bike for a postmortem, as the government hospital wouldn’t send him a hearse van.The man’s mother died on Monday due to a snake bite.

The woman is identified as Kunwar Bai after whose death the hospital at Mohangargh was informed. But the hospital allegedly denied sending a hearse van. So the son and relatives brought her body in a motorcycle to the hospital so her post mortem could be done.

The district administration has demanded an enquiry into this matter. Cases of medical ignorance is not rare. Just a few months back we read a news of a Uttar Pradesh man who had to carry his wife’s corpse on his shoulders as he was denied a hearse van too.
