Video from 99 Songs: Sid Srirams rendition for AR Rahmans film is soulful

'99 Songs', written and produced by AR Rahman, will hit the screens on April 16 in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Ahead of its theatrical release, a video song from the movie was today unveiled by the makers.

Titled 'Nee Choope Naaku', the soulful song has been crooned by Sid Sriram. Considering how popular Sriram's songs are, it's fabulous to listen to his unique voice in combination with Rahman's soothing composition. The song has lyrics by Rakendu Mouli.

Directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, the film is a passionate musical love story. Starring Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas, the film has cinematography by Tanay Satam and James Cowley, while editing is by Akshay Mehta and Shreyas Beltagdy.

The film is Rahman's debut as a producer as well as a writer. The film's jukebox is about one hour long.
