Video calls could be evidence in womans suicide case

It's a case of dowry death. Kamisetti Arunadevi, a 24-year old married woman has committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Amalapuram over dowry-related harassment by her husband and in-laws.

The husband, KV Perumalla, has been working in France. He wanted an additional dowry of Rs 10 lakh, the police have found out. The victim's father had approached the police with a formal complaint against the in-laws and Perumalla. He said that Arunadevi's husband was not interested to take her to France. Instead, he would always harass her over the phone for dowry.

The police are keen on solving the case using the conversations that the couple had over the Internet. Voice call and video call recordings that the victim had with her husband are available. The police believe that the case can be solved smoothly with the electronic evidence.
