Victims of eve-teasing, stalking can complain on Twitter for immediate action

The Hyderabad police are making prompt action all the more accessible to residents. The department has started leveraging Twitter towards improving law and order in the city.

"Besides Facebook and WhatsApp, Hyderabad police are available on Twitter as well. Each area inspector has got a Twitter account. If victims of crimes such as stalking and cyber abuse tweet their distress out to us, our 'She' teams will get into action in no time," the police have said.

Nowadays, cyber crimes and phone-based crimes are going up because of men who are misusing technology. Harassers are sending obscene content to women online. Some perverts have been found to be continuously calling their targets from different numbers at odd hours.

For victims of such crimes, justice is now all the more accessible, thanks to social media.
