Vicky Kaushal to replace Shahid Kapoor in this mythological flick

Actor Vicky Kaushal is going through a really joyous phase of his life. While his last film 'Sardar Udham' turned out to be a huge success, he also has some really exciting projects coming up in future and apart from all that he also got married to actress Katrina Kaif couple months ago. The latest buzz suggests that Vicky is soon going to collaborate with Excel Entertainment for a mythological film which was earlier going to star actor Shahid Kapoor.
Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film will be a reimagining of Mahabharat from the perspective of Karna. A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, The project is extremely close to Rakeysh’s heart and has been wanting to make a film on it for many years now. Vicky Kaushal will play the titular role in this mythological drama, which will be narrated from the perspective of Karna.
The source further added, Excel Entertainment will be producing the film and the trio are extremely excited to collaborate on this one. The movie is expected to roll by the end of this year, and Vicky will start with his prep closer to the shooting date.
Apart from this, Vicky recently wrapped up an untitled film with Sara Ali Khan and he will soon be seen in films like 'Sam Bahadur' and 'Govinda Mera Naam'.
