Vicky Kaushal Stuns Fans as Fierce Maratha King in New Teaser for 'Chhaava'

Vicky Kaushal is preparing to bring yet another historical person to life on film. The legendary Maratha warrior-king Chhatrapati Sambhaji, the actor plays in the forthcoming epic action-drama ‘Chhaava’. Just revealed, the teaser for this much awaited movie has Vicky in the main character.

Vicky's voice opens the teaser with "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is called a lion, and I am his son. Chhaava is the cub name for a lion. Vicky as Sambhaji rushing on horseback in full warrior armor before confronting a large Mughal army behind the walls of a fort shown in great intensity. Sambhaji fights bravely despite being more outnumbered, bruised and battered.

Akshaye Khanna plays Aurangzeb as the teaser gets to its finale, menacingly declaring, "Shivaji is gone, but his legacy and vision live on." Vicky, wearing royal Maratha clothing, sits boldly on the throne during the teaser's last scene.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Vicky wrote, "Protector of Swarajya." defender of Dharma; Chhaava is an epic narrative of a brave warrior! The teaser delighted celebrities like Bhumi Pednekar and Angira Dhar, who called it a "goosebumps" moment and expressed excitement among their followers.

Filmed by Maddock Films under direction by Laxman Utekar, ‘Chhaava’ also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, and Neil Bhoopalam. The movie is scheduled for December 6.
