Actor Vicky Kaushal has some really interesting projects currently under production and one of them is the biographical drama 'Sam Bahadur'. Based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, the film was announced few years back and the pre production on it has finally started now. Recently Vicky took to Instagram to announce that he has started his prep for the part.

The actor shared a picture of film's script, a notebook and some old photos of Field Marshal Manekshaw and wrote, “Here we go Prep starts!!! #SAMBAHADUR . @meghnagulzar @rsvpmovies." Sam Manekshaw had an incredible career as an army officer. As the Chief of Army Staff, he led the country to a swift win against Pakistan during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.

Talking about the film and his character, Vicky earlier said, “I had always heard stories about Sam Bahadur from my parents who hail from Punjab and have seen the 1971 war but when I read the script I was completely blown away. He is a hero and patriot who is still remembered and loved to this day and capturing his spirit in the film is of the highest importance to me.”

Apart from Vicky Kaushal, 'Sam Bahadur' will also star Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh.
