Vicky Kaushal has a really impressive line up of upcoming films. He will soon be seen in the shoes of legendary revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh and post that, he has Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw biopic lined up. Looking at these projects and his past outing as Major Vihaan in 'Uri', one might assume that Vicky is now drawn towards films which are based on national heroes.
During a recent conversation with India Today, Vicky was questioned whether he's getting typecasted. The actor replied, "No. There is no complicated process behind taking something up. Sometimes I have to feel more excited than the director to be a part of the film, only then will I be able to give my all to the film. And if I am not honest, it will be expressed through my performance. So, I can’t be dishonest there.”
Vicky also talked about how he chooses films to work on. He said, "The first box to tick is that - does the story affect me on a personal level? I never hear or read the script as the actor Vicky Kaushal, but I do it as an audience. If it moves me as an audience then that’s the first step. Then there are other factors like who is the filmmaker, are there shades in the character that I can explore, will I get an opportunity to grow as an actor, etc. All these factors affect my choice a lot. But without any calculation or mathematics, it has to just hit home in a holistic way. Nothing beyond that.”
