A huge rally was carried out in New Delhi's Ramlila Maidan on Sunday to demand an executive order or legislation for the construction of a magnificent Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya. The rally, also known as Dharam Sabha, took place under the aegis of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
It saw the speakers, among them, RSS' tall leader 'Bhaiyyaji' Suresh Joshi, saying that the BJP government at the Centre should fulfill its poll promise regarding Ram Mandir, which is a long-standing demand of the Hindus.
"We are not begging for the temple. It's a matter of our emotions," another speaker said.
The demand for an Ordinance on Ram Temple has been made by sections of BJP politicians as well. Will the Narendra Modi government do it?
