Vettrimaaran coming from the Balu Mahendra school made a stunning debut with 'Polladhavan' starring Dhanush and Divya Spandana that was critically acclaimed as well as a commercial hit. He has done only five films in thirteen years but all have been lauded for content and presentation making him one of the most respected filmmakers in Kollywood.
Vettrimaaran has stuck to his close friend Dhanush the combo has given 'Polladhavan', 'Aadukalam', 'Vada Chennai' and 'Asuran'. Only after so many years the intense director has started working with others and he is gearing up to shoot a new movie that will have Soori as the hero.
Vettrimaaran in his latest interview has stated that after the Soori film he will move on Suriya's 'Vaadivaasal' and has also confirmed that he has started writing the screenplay for Thalapathy Vijay and is waiting for a call from the mass hero to narrate it. It has already been speculated that Vijay and Vettrimaaran will do a film in the near future and by the look of it could be sooner rather than later.
Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and costarring Vijay Sethupathi delayed by the coronavirus pandemic is expected to release soon after theaters are allowed to open and normalcy returns. He will next star in 'Thalapathy 65' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures.
