Linguswamy is one of those few rare talents at the film industry who has tasted success in every single directorial and production venture of his. When he started off with a multi-starrer family entertainer that was an instant hit, 'Aanandham' many thought he would come up with my more similar subjects, but Lingu has given a different offering each time.

The ace director is currently busy with 'Vettai' that has Madhavan, Arya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul essaying lead roles and is set in Thoothukudi. The movie sees Maddy and Arya as brothers and the lead ladies as sisters. Also, Madhavan plays a laidback cop in this film, unlike, usual K-town’s superhero cops.

The movie is set for a November release and will simultaneously hit the screens in Telugu and Hindi, for Lingu strongly believes it’s a universal script. We must remember Madhavan has an audience for himself in Hindi, and so does Sameera who hails from Bollywood.

It's said, the idea of 'Vettai' struck Lingu during the shoot of 'Paiyaa' itself. He said, "While shooting for another movie, sometimes, you feel the need to postpone a shot. But when it comes to Vettai, I was all geared up and was able to finish all shots as planned. In fact, in the movie’s third schedule itself I shot the climax!"

After finishing his scripts Linguswamy discusses them openly with his kin and also takes into account their feedback, this includes his friends, directors Sasi and Balaji Shaktivel. And after the film is done with, he showcases the same to his friends, does all the modifications required and it's only then that the movie hits the screens.

The film has finished 60% of shooting and Linguswamy has openly expressed that this is his best venture so far and will sure reach one and all. "I am shooting Vettai with 100% confidence", Linguswamy signs off.
