Chennai R.K. Nagar MLA Dinakaran’s ardent supporter and former R.K.Nagar MLA Vetrivel is said to have gone underground to evade arrest by the police.

The case pertains to prevention by Vetrivelvan and Thanga Tamizhselvan of Govt. officials (read: Secretariat employees/security guards) from performing their duties.  The Secretariat police have registered cases against the duo and are on the look-out for them even as it is believed that they have gone underground to evade arrest.

The incident pertains to the visit of Thanga Tamizhselvan and Vetrivel to Secretariat to make a formal complaint (of incompetence) against the OPS-EPS led AIADMK regime.  As they had been disqualified by Speaker Dhanapal (the case is still sub-judice in the High Court) and had no right to enter the Assembly premises, they were prevented from entering by the security guards on duty at the entrance to the
premises.

The duo somehow managed to ‘sneak’ into the premises and even held a press conference which has been viewed seriously by the Secretariat Police which went ahead and registered cases against the duo. Anticipating arrest, the duo has gone underground and is said to be making efforts to secure anticipatory bail.
