Vetrimaran's latest film 'Visaranai' impressed everyone as a hard hitting tale exposing the brutalities prevalent in the criminal investigation system of the country. The film was based on a novel written by Chandrakumar a Coimbatore based auto driver,

Now Vetrimaran's Grass Root Company has acquired the rights of 'Shoes of the Dead' a hard hitting political novel about farmers' suicide and the politics around it. The novel has been written by Kota Neelima.

The official Twitter account of Grass Root Company confirms that news and it also confirms that Vetrimaran will write and direct a film based on this novel after completing his upcoming project with Dhanush to be read as 'Vada Chennai'.
