Vetrimaran reveals a secret about 'Visaranai' script

As we all know director Vetrimaran's 'Visaranai' which will be hitting the screens tomorrow amid huge expectations has been inspired from a Tamil novel 'Lockup' written by a Coimbatore based Auto Driver Chandrakumar. This is the first film that the Vetrimaran has taken inputs from another writer's stor.. So it will be a curious question as to how much of the film will match with the novel's contents.
Now the National award winning filmmaker has revealed the answer to this question. Vetrimaran in a recent interview has said that only the first half of 'Visaranai' has been inspired from 'Lockup' and he has written the second half of the film based on a few true incidents that have taken place in Tamil Nadu in the recent past.
'Visaranai' starring Dinesh, Anandhi, Samuthirakani, Ramadoss has been produced by Dhanush and Vetrimaran and distributed by Lyca Productions.
